Summer Theatre Workshop Wizard of Oz Youth Edition

Ages: 8-18

Location: Orangevale Community Center

Instructor: Valkyrie Theatre Staff

Work with professional theatre practitioners in a safe and fun environment to put on a show for the community! Students will explore stage craft, creating characters, musical theatre skills and collaboration while building confidence and learning how to express themselves through live performance. Valkyrie Theatre Company believes in bringing a high standard of education to the community, empowering children through the fun craft of theatre arts, teaching them the values of teamwork, respect, and self-confidence. All levels welcome.

Auditions:

Auditions will be held the first day of the workshop to determine what role each participant will have. All participants will have a role in the show. Please prepare 1 minute of a song from a musical to a backing track. Tracks will be sent to the stage crew in advance. It is not a requirement to audition to be part of the show but those who would like lead roles are required to
