The Orangevale Recreation & Park District was formed in 1983 by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors.
On May 21, 1987 the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors voted to approve Orangevale Recreation & Park District’s request to be an independent District.
The change of designation from dependent (appointed Board of Directors) to independent district (elected Board of Directors) was on the November 1987 General Election ballot, and the new status became effective January 4, 1988.
OVparks is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
