Orangevale Recreation & Park District is implementing a Wildfire Prevention Plan this year.  This project has been made possible by partnerhship with the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps (SRCC), and support from the Local Conservation Coprts Nature-Based Solutions Grant Program.

Fire prevention through ladder-fuel reducation and native plant rehabilition is already underway.  Parks included in this program are: Orangevale Community Park - Nature Areas / Orangevale Community Center Park - Shackelton Woods / Sundanace Park  / Rollingwoods Nature Area.

Also - keep an eye out for GOATS!  Goat Grazing will be taking place in late spring at both Rollingwoods Nature Area and Streng Park, as an additional component of our Wildfire Prevention Plan.
