In the Southeast corner of the Orangevale Recreation & Park District you will find the 4.5 acre Norma Hamlin Park (Formerly Snipes-Pershing Park). Approximately .75 acres is developed with a playground and picnic area. The eastern and southern boundaries of the park border the Snipes Pershing Ravine in the American River Canyon which trails traverse down to the American River. The park property is rich in oak trees and natural vegetation and several vernal pools can be found in full bloom during the spring season.
