Ages: 8-15

Location: Shadow Glen Riding Stables; 4854 Main Ave, Fair Oaks

Instructor: Shadow Glen Staff

This is a four-week introductory class that teaches about horses and includes a 30-minute riding lesson with each class. Students learn about major breeds of horses, horse care, grooming, saddling, handling horses and how to care for them. The Western lifestyle and ranch setting are emphasized. Anyone interested in learning more about horses and planning on pursuing riding will find the class fun, informative and helpful. Full COVID-19 precautions, as mandated by the CDC and local Public Health directions are observed through the facility. All students should wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and bring a sweater or jacket if the weather is chilly. We ride in the rain, too!
